Dear Sensei Hoosain

We must congratulate you on your wonderful successful tournament.

Our parents and children enjoyed them very much. A lot of them made new Karate friends and also gave us the opportunity to meet other Sensei's especially the Sensei's from Afghanistan.

We will always support your Tournaments.

Best regards for the future.

Hi Hoosain,

the competition was great, I do have two suggestions: The first one is that there needs to be more spectator seating, my wife, children and I stood against the wall for 30 minutes before we were able to find a seat. The Cape Technikon is a good venue for this.

The other suggestion, or rather query was around the marketing. My son does karatejitsu in Tableview and I do Shaolin in Cape Town, and neither of us were informed about this through our dojo. I happened to read about it in the local tabloid, and when we arrived, my son was very disappointed that he was not taking part.

Other than that, I found the kata of a good standard, and the kumite was great, well done!

Hello Hoosain

Well done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Smile , u deserve it.

Going to the tournament was quite an experience. At first it was all a bit confusing as I didn’t know what was happening and Osman was not much help in that regard but later on we sort of gathered how it all works. It must take a lot of preparation.

I was watching two of the little boys fighting closest to us and it was rather funny how seriously he started fighting once a bit of pain was instilled.  Some kids take their fighting rather seriously. To see and hear the parents cheering was something else. All in all it was great. Your programs were a bit disappointing as I think it would have been sooo much better in colour.

Regards

Dear Sensei Hoosain

As I only returned to work today and only just received your invitation I wish to thank you, I was at the tournament on Saturday and I thoroughly enjoyed myself with seeing such quality karate being displayed and for once being on the other side of the fence for once.

Yours truly

Wendy

First held in 1987 in Cape Town, the Sabaki Challenge Karate Championships merged in 1996 with the annual Invitational Championships.
Since then, it has grown into an International Tournament with hundreds of competitors from all over.

2010 World Cup
South Africa has just finished hosting the 2010 Soccer World Cup. What a spectacular event it was. We then hosted the World Cup for Ashihara Karate in October of the same year.
